I'm done with my Frog toggs. Great rain gear but in the four times I needed them over the past year, I got two large holes in the legs from the engine heat.
I'm going to pick up the Harley set that is day glo orange and black and make for a full rain storm. Dealer here sells for $150.
I just bought and used a set of Frogg Toggs. Burnt thru the legs also. Then I find out afterwards, they sell heat shield that attach to the inner legs. Wish I had known that.
But truth is, they could include them or do a better job of making you aware they exist.
I have the HD Hi-Vis Black/Orange. They may be a bit more pricey than some of the other stuff out there, but they work! I've used them in icey conditions as well as warm with no complaints.
My wife has been wearing Nelson-Riggs rain gear. looks much like the harley set. cost 65 bucks. She has been very happy with them. Me i'm still occasionally putting on my frog toggs. Where we live in SE TX you dont have much time or many places to pull under to get your rain gear on, so i just leave it off and get wet normally we dry off in under an hour anyway!! LOL
Got caught in a bad storm around Nashville, TN this past Thrusday. Had the Men's Packable Rain Suit on from Harley and crotch area got soaked! Brother-in-law was riding right behind me during the storm with the Men's Hi-Vis Rain Suit on from Harley and was dry the entire time.
