Default 96 ultra classic tour box??

I have a 96 fuel injection ultra classic and i bought this bike mainly because I wanted the best of both worlds but I am needing some info from the PRO'S here!!

If I want to do a tourpack quick connect so I can have the look of a street glide what parts do I need for a 96 ultra? Has anyone done this here? i am very mechanically inclined but am new to the harley world even though it has been a dream for years just got able to move up from the rice world!!

I have also been looking on what upgrades are good? I have done a set of screamin eagles, K&N, what else is the best bang for the buck?? I was thinking about a cam? I was told the EVO 80CI are very tough motors this one has 50,000 miles on her and she is still potty trained and runs flawless, is there any preventive maintenance or repairs that I should be saving for with this mileage?

thanks, I know this is alot to ask but I have been holding back on you!!

you need all the quick disconnect hardware and rack, pretty easy to do, harley dealer will have everything. evo's are usually bullet proof

Default no luck

I am not having much luck with my local Harley dealer here in little Rock?? I asked them about the quick disconnect kit and they gave me 110 reasons why i didnt want the kit and then started trying to sell me a street glide!! I told them if i would have wanted a street glide i would have bought one......

I just wasnt sure if there was a aftermarket kit available?? thanks

What's up Leo? Somethings not right here. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think they had fuel injection in '96. I think Mkizer means that he has a 96" Ultra, and wants to convert it to look like a Street Glide. (You're right about the Evo's though, and I wish I had one of my old Evos back in the garage.) In any case, he doesn't need to buy parts, he needs to start taking them off, if he wants it to look like a SG.... You're right of course that all he needs is the docking hardware and the detachable rack. Dealers stock em everywhere. Try Zanotti's HD or Chicago HD and you'll get 20% off. That's the cheapest way to go.

You are not the first person to think fuel injection wasnt available in 96, I actually did alot of research and injection was available all the way back to 94 but very few numbers in 96 it was a little more popular but became well known in 98 and 99 when they switched to a different type of injection. Mine runs flawless and they say that there were either good or bad and its obvious 50,000 miles later this one is a good one. believe me I dont know alot about these but I did do the research when everyone that looks at the bike thinks its a 2002 or newer mainly because of the injection and the local Harley dealer argued until they in fact did look it up.

I wasnt aware if anything was availale to do the tour pack afermarket or not.

My apologies. So it is 1996 Ultra.. Not the first time I've been wrong.
