I had toyed with putting dash inserts on my RKC for awhile but was worried what the would look like and it would be a waste of money. Well good old Zanottis sold them to me at 21% off so I bought the leather weave outer insert #71398-05 (weave matchs RKC leather on bags etc) and the metal inner insert #71091-05. It is a nice combination and different. Metal insert is ok but the leather weave looks nice. Anybody else went this route?
I left the outter alone and put the raised skull in the middle. Not to big on it just being a sticker, but the price was right as I got mine from Z as well and if it starts to peal up I will just pull it off.
100thRK,
Thanks for passing along. I've been looking at getting the same inserts to dress up the panel and cut down on reflection from the sun. I like the basketweave, too. Any idea what will happen if and when you want to peel it off? I'd hope the glue they use is the kind that doesn't require paint remover.
It was pretty sticky stuff so I would imagine it will take some goo gone to get it off. I got a little glue on the speedometer visor and it was pretty easy to get off.
