On a lot of other early EFI systems, you can clear the codes by pulling the fuse going to the ECM, or pulling the plug, etc. I don't know about yours, but after retrieving the code, that's what I would try.
i know i learn alot more than i contribute to this forum, but thanks for the info guys, I'm printing the directions off and putting them in my tool cabinet now!! I've paid the $100 for them to tell me nothings wrong before.
Thanks for all the tips guys. Something strange happened...the light doesnt come on now. Ive had the bike for a month and every single time I started it the light came on now I go out there to start working on the problem and the light is gone. It still comes on before I start the bike but now it wont come back on. Any idea what gives?
BTW thank you for being patient with me. Im 30 years old and dont have much mechanical experience. Im also very intimiated when I go to the dealer because I feel like a fish out of water. I really appreciate the advice and information here.
Also, I think this dealership sucks. They pretty much ignore me. I assume its because I dont dress the part yet. I asked the service writer what the easiest way to connect an Ipod to my radio and he told me to got to RadioShack. WTF.
