Cool Vance & Hines baffles removal.

I have a set of Vance & Hines slip on,i want to remove the baffle inside of them,someone know how to do this ? seem a very tight fit ...thanks

There are 2 screws underneath that hold the baffle in. Take the muffler off the bike, undo the screws, spray a bit of WD40 around and drive the baffle out with a wooden dowel.

Sounds easy but it isnt. Be careful clamping the muffler - I would make a bracket that bolts onto the support that you can use to clamp it in the vice.

Ok - I have the basic slip on as well, i dont know what year your bike is or if that even matters but you when i took my baffles out to remove the fiberglass batting around them i did not remove the slip on's from the pipes. I removed the two torx screws at the end of each slip on and used a cotter pin removal tool and pulled the baffles out, cut away the batting and put them right back in..... no touble

Do the basics rust like the oval baffles do?
