Had Rinehart true duals and now the fat cats with the quiet baffle on my 07 RKC. After long rides my ears aren't ringing like they were with the Rineharts and during my rides I love to hear them when I roll on the throttle. They could be a bit louder, but are close to just right in my opinion. Overall, I really like them.
I have the std baffle in mine and love the sound. Gets real loud when on the gas. Am thinking about ordering the quiet baffle and trying it to keep the neighbors happy at 4o AM
I've had both...........standard baffle to start with, and now the quiet baffle. I prefer the sound of the quiet baffle, it's a more controlled sound that is deeper and not raspy at all.
And..........the quiet baffle has been tested to make slightly better numbers then the standard baffle.
I have the quiet baffle on my RG and I have no problem hearing the radio. It will get pretty loud if you get on it but cruising around its got a nice tone
just my .02
I had the quiet baffle on my HQ 107...REALLY didn't care for the, well, muffled sound
Swapped it for the standard baffle and it sounds like a motorcycle! Love the sound of it...and noticed 0 difference in performance.
Quiet and it is NOT quiet by any stretch believe me and has a nice deep rumble and I can easily hear my tunes. This is my 2nd set of Fatcats.
Shop Eastern Performance for a decent price.
Doesn't the D&D's come with a ghost pipe for the right side? How does it attach and what is the cost, I can't find the ghost pipe anywhere
Gary
"Come with"? No. You can purchase it for around 3 bills best I can remember. I forgot where I saw them for sale. Worst case, call Steve at Automotive Machine in Ft Worth. I'm sure they would sell you one.
As far as mounting up, it goes just like the left side under the saddle bag and I think uses the support on top of the transmission that the factory Y pipe uses.
