Want a nice ride to Eastern Oregon?
The little hamlet of Helix, Oregon (just north of Pendleton) is hosting an outdoor musical festival on Saturday, June 27th. Remember the festivals of the 60's and 70's? If you could remember anything about that era, you know it was fun. They will have at least five bands and a beer garden. Their website is www.wheatstock.org and there's lots of good riding around here; the Blue Mountains, the Columbia River, nudie bars in Umatilla, and miles of wheat fields. The area is really biker friendly and there are lots of less-traveled roads. The event is a benefit for the Helix music programs at the schools.
