Default 2009 Roadking

i want to thank everyone who gave me some input on keeping my RoadKing cool it will be going in next week to have an oil cooler new air beather and new exhaust in stall on it bad part is i still have two more months before i will beable to ride it cause i'm in brazil (it where i work) once again thanks and keep safe

it's got an oil pan, sump, crankcase or what ever it's called. cools the oil by the fins on the cylinders. air moves over them to take heat away.

Your RK will run cooler if you install an oil cooler. I went with Harley's.

I think you need a service manual, the bike has a OIL TANK

Uh, yea it does, it's under the tranny. Big Twins are a dry sump engine.

If you want a cooler running bike, also add a Powercommander V and Stage 1 air cleaner from Fuel Moto. Getting rid of the ultra lean EPA-mandated fueling makes a huge difference.

My only complaint about the Road King over my Softale is checking the oil. I hate where it is, you have to be careful not to burn yourself on the pipe when you try to remove the cover to view the oil level. I find myself checking it when it's cold more then when the motor is hot. The softale was easy to get at. But other then that, the roadking is great. And I found a stage one kit with the right pipes really helped cool the bike down.
