I had the same issue with my Ultra. I removed the stock bars and installed Wild 1 Chubbies 575's. Love the bars and also the clean look of the wires inside of the bars. The pain in the middle of back has been gone since installation.
My problem is i have poor circulation in my right hand so if i go to much higher than stock height might make my hand go numb fast ...... 575 are 2" rise ?
Hard to say what's causing your problem. Bars can be tricky because you won't know if you like them until you've ridden several hundred miles, and by that time you're out some major bucks.
I felt I was reaching too far after I had a seat made that moved me back, so I choose the Wild 1 575. Still waiting on the install, so I hope they work.
I have 06 EG Classic...... Wild ones 575 were the answer.... Love those bars..... Go to Wild ones web site and it shows a Street Glide with 575s
Yeah,Mirrors may be a problem.......... hdman
