Scratch on gas tank cap

Scratch on gas tank cap
I have a 06 Road King Custom. The clutch line and the throttle cable on the right side of the handlebars scratch the top of the gas cap when the handlebars are turned to the right. Has anyone else had this problem? If so, what is the remedy?

Sounds like the right brake/throttle is turned too far down causing the cables to hit the tank/cap.. You may notice that you have to turn your hand down to reach the brake lever. Not good. Adjust the position of the unit so your fingers fall easily on the brake lever when your hand is on the throttle, almost straight out or a little bit down. Then adjust the clutch side to match.
I have never heard of this problem before so I'm a little in the dark on this. I'm sure you'll get good input here.
