There is a group of 3 guys all wanting new ultra's. We all have ultras now and I would rather trade than mess with trying to sell mine on my own. We came up with an idea of working a trade with our local dealer then having the new ultra's delivered some place across the country and riding home (limited vacation time). I figured it could save some hassle with out-of-state inspections, etc. if I could run paperwork thru local dealer. Anyone every heard of a dealer willing to work on an arrangement like this? (We're talking the sale of 3 ultras.)
I've been told you used to have the option of taking delivery at the factory. There is a few things the dealers do to make sure the bike is ready for delivery, not sure if the factory is equipped to do that or not.
Would be kind of cool to take delivery in York, then make a road trip home (where ever that is).
I would call all the dealers in the erea you want to start in and one agrees, go to your local and tell them the plan.
They still in business up there? ... The wife still works at the place that axed me in quality control and says H/D isnt buying much . Guess I dont need to send my app in ...
