I had three different Yahama Viragos back in the mid to late 80s. Sold one and gave two away. I thought that they were pretty good looking bikes back then.---- Now, not so much!!!
Can't say that the Concours or the FJR are ugly. Rode both and I can tell you that you can cover a lot of ground in a short time on these babies. Choice of many ironbutt competitors.
Dad used to tell me you gotta ride alot of UGLY's to realize when you finally got a BEAUTY!! Dont think he was talking about bike's but i think it still applies here. God i miss that man....Never much to say and always to the point!!!!

Ditto on both of thoses bikes...I lean slightly toward the FJR though..funny that somewhere in there they diss the Yamaha Stratoliner, but then in another link they choose it over a Harley as one they would ( and did ) buy. I'm not a fan of the Liner, but they flip-flopped on that one.

I had a yamaha road star that I traded in for my Ultra. I thought the road star was a pretty damn good looking bike, but I think Yamaha totally missed the boat with the stratoliner. Great features and such, but the styling....Ugh!
