Can I just install slip ons?

The only way to really know is to check the burn on the plugs with stock slipons in place and then with the new slipons. Run along steady for a few miles at your normal cruise speed, pull in the clutch, hit the kill switch, coast to a stop, and pull/examine the plugs. If they are whiter than stock set up, I wouldn't take the chance. The 09's are very lean to start with. I was told by the dealer that even if I just did slipons I would have to do something with fuel management. I thought he was just trying to sell me something. Bought some slipons and tried it - upon examination too lean a burn for me. Put the stock back on until I can get the AC and PCV. Had the stage 1 set up with V & H true duals on the 08 Deluxe I traded in on the EGC and the upside is it will run cooler. Thought I might be able to save a few bucks this time. Not so in my case.

I just put Superflows on mine, and runs no hotter and no decel pop. I will get to the AC and tuner when I have the money, but the ones I got, Max 2's don't require any other mods. They sound great too, just like a Harley should.

I ran mine and after a few months the slip-ons were getting brown.My advice fuel it somehow and dont use fuelpak.Depending on your budget go with either tfi,xied,cobra fuel tuner,dont waist money on fuelpak.If i had to do it again id buy something else.
