Put a Sundowner solo on my 2002 RK last night. Think I am going to like the ride ... but a little disappointed with the look of the rear bracket sticking out like it does. And the rear fender has worn spots etc from all the years of the stock passenger seat.
Don't see a fender bib or anything in the HD catalogue. Do they make something and it just isn't in the book ?
I loved the comfort of the SD Solo but I needed additional back support so put in the Corbin Solo and Backrest. It's not as cushy but very comfortable nonetheless.
I do have a nearly new SD Solo for sale if anyones interested. I paid $350 for it and will let it go for $200 or best offer. It has around 200 mi. on it.
I hear ya on the backrest issue for the Sundowner Solo. I'll just wait till I get real old............LOL, then get one
But so far, Iam loving mine.
Btw.....put the stock seat back on yesterday and took a little 75 putt before the rain rolled in again. Iam going out this afternoon and put the SD Solo back on
BTW
That black looks great on your Road King....................when its clean

Now you tell me!
Oh well it's only money right?
I have the pillion coming from M and M Cycles and sold my old 2 up Sundowner to a service member from this site.
Love the feel of the solo but have to agree the bracket while chrome is butt-ugly.
Going to go check out Mustang site right now.(Thanks Brian.)
I got a Mustang solo on my RK. Mustang also makes a mini-bib, which is what I'm using. It's just big enough to cover the plate. Still got those ugly mounting bolts though, even in chrome.
