Are you doing the high compression pistons? Great combo with 211's. Got to mess with compression release but worth the bucks!!!

Kevin, it'll see either Rt 32 and 611 up to the gap then my favorite RIVER ROAD or the winding hilly 896 to Lancaster County. Those roads should be great for the "break-in". We've been to Lancaster Co. several time this year already and only been to the Gap once so far so that's probably where we'll go. Wanna join us?

I've been going over and over the build with my service manager. We settled on the std compression with the SE heads due my riding style. I rack up high milage and tour a lot. Around 20K a year or more 2 up fully loaded. [&:]
Bruce - be sure to check & see what the optimal compression ratio for the 203's is before you go bumping up the CR too high. It's REALLY easy to create a pinging / detination problem. My guess is that the heads used in this build were the S/E "Performance Heads" (NOT the HTCC heads - the HTCC's really don't get happy on motors <103CI). If you use the S/E Performance Heads & High Compression pistons, you'll have ~10.5:1 CR. That's pretty high! I seriously doubt the 203's will like that much compression (espically since they are sold as "bolt-in" replacements).
How's the fuel scene up there in Linden? You'll need 93 octane FOR SURE, and the jury is really still out on how all of our fuel is gonna support our hot motors with the new ethanol mandates. At least you're far enough north that typical temps are not too high, which is another enemy of high compression.
One last thing b4 I jump off my soapbox... be prepared to replace some starter clutches! If the motor ever kicks back while starting (w/10:5.1), you can bet starter clutch problems are not too far away.... Been there LIVED that. Trust me IT SUX! At least I could push start mine, it was not EFI. But it never happened less than 500 miles from home ~ ONLY on road trips..... [:@]

Did you ever consider getting your heads cleaned up (~$300 from BigBoyz) and using the stock heads instead of the the S/E heads (~$1000 from HD)? It is highly likely that you'll get "more for less" going that route. And.... people can't even tell by looking at the motor that is not "just another Twin Cam"....
