Default has anyone tried

when i bought my heritage there were a lot of people drilling out their baffles(the center plate).even i did it to the honda sounding stock mufflers.so my question is has anyone did or tried this on the 06 cat mufflers?just to get a little more sound not performance.which i know it will run leaner than it is now.just wondering

I don't know about drilling them out yourself, but I just put on a pair of B&E Superflows. These are stock 06 mufflers completely drilled out and then a 2" glass packed baffle is welded in place. I'm going to do a stage 1 kit eventually, but for now I put them on with no other mods and the bike runs fine --- no popping and the plugs look good. They aren't the best sounding mufflers I have ever heard, but they're not bad either. Certainly worth the $175 + shipping I paid for them brand new on Ebay. I think that's a better option than drilling them out yourself. I know a guy who tried that on his SG and it sounded like crap. He ended up going with some V&H mufflers for $500 anyway, and his stockers were ruined. At least going the B&E route you can always put the stock mufflers back on if you don't like the sound. I'm in central Jersey, so if you ever want to hear them, let me know and we can meet up for a ride.

I believe the B&E and Max Performance are Touring Only. I have a set of the Max Performance I bought second hand for about $40. They sound much better than the silent stocks. I'll get some v&H afetr I get my hands on some cash. I also had Stage 1 put on, and I get to pick it up in 1 hour! I'll let you know how it performs later.
