two words, maybe more, but who's counting.......happich semichrome. you can find it at most bike shops, including harley in the tulsa area. perhaps near you too. it's a pink toothpaste sort of stuff that i use a lot. an old tee shirt is hard to beat for cleaning, then an old sweatshirt with the fleece side doing the polishing works best to bring it to a chrome like shine. great stuff. i build custom aluminum parts and stainless parts for hot rods so i found out about happich semichrome a long time ago and i stick with what works. great stuff, and a tube will last you a very long time. takes very little. i've tried wenol, and all the wadding stuff, but nothing so far has worked as well as the happich stuff. made in germany, the best stuff i've found.
I use mothers billet aluminum polish.
I polish bike parts on the side. Not a business, just a hobby for some $$$.
I use the mothers as mentioned above. There are others that are also good.
White diamond is another.
The plastic red mothers is ok but will scratch the finely polished aluminum.
This is how I do wheels.
The photos shows me sanding to get the fine marks out.
This appears to be a bit much work but the finish is almost chrome like and the shine lasts and lasts.
I do this once a year when I am changing tires on the front and every 2 years on the rear.
