Ok since im not a cnc programmer but i have stayed at a super 8 ? That didnt come out right.. they are cutting these things to size with a water jet so isnt the connector you need just put in a round hole or is there more to it than that and why cant it be put in on the water jet? I dont have any experience with them but i do know how Edm machines work .. just wondering
Interesting idea Dave, I could cut a hole in the FLHT console insert for the headset jack. The glass inserts are .180-.250 thick so I didnt think the connector would be long enough to go through the glass and fit with the cap.
I guess I should buy one of those headset connectors and see what can be done.
EDM? Dont hear that term very often. I ran one of those machines, the old type with the electrode machined out of carbon. Fun job back in the day.
Inserts for that sweet 08 FLHR console will be coming later this summer.
That one is kinda complicated with the indicator light cutout so close to the top part of the insert. Its going to take some R&D to get it right.
If you want, send me a note with your bike color and I'll let you know when we are ready to make them.
