Same one I got....Maybe the cable is to long for the output on the IPod???.....I'll try a shorter cable...Can't hurt I guess...

HDV,
Not sure what cable but with mine, I just plug into the AUX on the front panel of the radio. Is that the same for you? The connection I bought I got from Radio Shack and it is a male connection on both ends. Is that the same type of hook up you are running?

Might be a bad Cable between the Ipod and the Aux. I have a 4th Gen its plenty loud no problem.

Go into your options screen on your i-pod and make sure the all songs same volume (can't remeber the name but thats what it does) is turned off, if it's on it picks the lowest volume song and sets them all to that, I'll bout bet thats your problem HDV

Gil,
I never knew that was there - So, HDV, go to settings - click center button - Volume limit - click center button - There may be a thing that looks like a combination lock - On mine I just clicked center button until I reached the next screen that allows you to increase the volume - adjust the volume to the desired setting, then scroll to done and there you go -

Learn something new everyday - Thanks again Gil -

Set "Sound Check" to off, EQ to "Treble Booster" and make sure the volume is at 100%. Cable length WILL matter, also, the ipod doesn't push alot of juice so the shorter the cable, the better. Mine is a 3 footer.

I use a ipod Nano with my 2007 Road Glide, plugged into the AUX of my HK, and I can hear it fine up to around 70 mph.

Need more volume still? You could always get a Boostaroo headphone amplifier.

I had the same problem. Not sure if you have your Ipod in a case or not, but I have mine in a case and the 3.5mm plug would not plug all the way into the Ipod. I had to trim a little of the plastic with an exacto knife from the plug to get it to push all the way in.

Hope this helps!
