how much space should the front motor mount have between the top side at the rubber and on the bottom where the big washer is..... mine seems to be vibrating too much and when looing at the mount with the bike running it doesn't seem to be doing its job...on the top side I have about a 1/16 or there abouts between the top bolt and rubber....underneath where the big washer on the bottom seems to be about a 1/2" and doesn't even touch the bottom part of the rubber when the bike is running ...I think this may be the cause of the vibration at idle speed...whatcha think??????

they came out with a service bulletin on the touring front motor mount.they redisgned the mount and will replace yours.

Whatever happened with your motor mount. I have the exact same situation with my 2005 Road King. There's about 1/2' gap between the bottom of the rubber bushing and the large round washer and nut below it.

Ditto on the service bulletin - dealer just replace my 04 RKCustom mount at no charge and it is out of warranty.
