Have any Roadking custom owners ever switched out the stock handlebars for anything different? I have trouble turning due my knees being in the way of the bars.....
I'm hoping to find a different set of bars I can install without having to buy all new cables.
i have 07 rk started out with heritage bars but didn't like the wrist angle. Then i went with reduced reach bars and new diamond braided lines. I really want to switch to mini apes but i cant afford to change the lines again. Maybe someday but for now the easy reaches are fine.
I changed out to the Road King high bars. The wrist angle feels a little odd to me but so far they are much better than stock. Better pullback and a little higher. I need to do a really long ride to see if I'm going to like these bars.
Last month I changed to the Heritage Style handlebars (part# 56902-08) after one year riding with the stock ones. This is the first modification I should have ever did. No additional lines or cables needed if your FLHR is an 08.
what is isteresting about all these posts, is that the HD Service dude, saidnew bars with more pull back or rise will require new cables,,,,,,,they are so frickin full of it. Next time I just might call them liars to their faces.....
