My rubber / foam on the saddlebag lids has flattened out and it's time to replace it. I bought the replacement, part # 90675-93A, and yesterday started to take the current foam off. The new stuff seams much, much thinner, almost like it was the wrong stuff. I went to my HD Dealer today to check and even though a tech thought it was too thin, it seems it's the correct part number, as the original is no longer.
Has anyone replaced this foam lately? Any tips from some experienced HD folks would be appreciated. It really seems like the new stuff will still let the lids rattle around, and I don't want to take the old stuff off and get screwed.
Please, any recommendations will be much appreciated.
I'm not near those, as I'm closer to Jupiter. I'll check my local HD. Maybe they have that one laying around, otherwise I'll call the others for delivery.
