I've tried the bicycle short and the Under Armor. The bicycle short are built for...bicycle saddles, not MC saddles. I did not find them comfortable. However, the Under Armor compression shorts work great.

I bought some Under Armor hear gear shorts last year and they work great for me. The jeans may be damp from a hot day in the saddle but the butt is dry and comfortable.

I use these on long rides. Yeah, they look goofy but they do work and who's gonna see them anyway. Ride all day with no posterior discomfort (aka monkey butt).

Have used Under Armor Heat Gear for years. Works good, old news. Sorry you weren't the first to figure this out.

Under Armor is great and comfortable. but the key is use any none cotton underwear. There are several shorts (including boxers) that aren't made with cotton. I even found some at Wal Mart less than $10. I do agree with the theory, Leather seats are more comfortble because they also breath where is nonleather don't.

You may be right about the bike shorts, I just happen to have a bout 6 pairs of these and the chamois inside is cut more the size of a bike seat. I might try them anyway before I load up on Under Armor.
