They work well. Another outlet is The Sheepskin Factory. Also if gray is available (or any color lighter than black) go for it. The darker the color the more heat it absorbs. Add some nut dust (talcum powder) and you're good to go.

Default Dead Sheep tell no tails

Thanks guys. Just ordered pads from Alaska Leather, the 10% discount for dead sheep still works. Here's hoping the pads work as well for wifey and me as they did for the others who posted.

man that alaska sheepskin company must rock. i was going to go to auto zone or pep boys to get a car sheepskin seat cover in the charcoal dyed color and cut it up to make a couple of covers. but at the price of them at that alaska company, i think they got a new customer.

You'll like the sheep skin. I have one I just lay over my seat. I stick one end in the tour pack and close the lid on it. I take it in at night, throw a piece of vinyl over it if it's raining, and if we're camping, we roll it up and use it as a pillow. I bought it about 1987 or so.

I haven't purchased anything from him, but this guy:
http://www.twobears.com/Pages/Furs/SpecialtyFurs.htm
seems to have good prices. I was considering the $40 black sheep skin. My sheep skin, after 50K miles of use or so, is starting to get pressed down some, and it is cut short to start with. I am also considering recovering my seat in coon skin if I cap enough of them this winter, but cleaning and tanning is some kind of hard, messy work with coon.

It must be me, but I tried using one going to sturgis, and after about 100 miles, my azz was killing me. I tired it for two day, and then just packed it away and went with my stock Ultra seat. I was good to go after that. My azz must not like sheep, of course I am from cattle country

They work great. I have a full skin that I trimed to fit over the whole seat. I just put it on and it takes the shape of the seat.
