Instead of putting a 5th gear light, like 6th, on it they just give you the whine. Always know when you are there. Kind of calming.

My '08 has a bit of a whine in 5th but not enough to bother me. I have been running Amsoil gear oil in the transmission for the last 16,000 miles and recently changed to Redline and hear no change in noise or smoother shifting as some say they do.

I'm going back to something else the next change as that Redline is some evil looking stuff. It looks like some kind of mutant Pepto Bismol, not something that should be in a transmission. It is also too expensive for no gain.
