Also just picked up a Progressive $145 shipped on ebay, if i keep the bike I will also do the swingarm bushing mod. It is a fact, rubber mounted swing arms just don't cut it...all my yrs on quads and dirt bikes it is an obvious problem that you can feel.
This is my first Harley and being on the street on other brands for 30 plus yrs I actually took it back to the dealer and asked them to check it out..I was told I would get use to it..lol

Its obviousyou have an opinion on this, but I do not feel you are informed. I on the other hand can speak from experiance. I am recovering from a broken hip and a fractured femur due to bagger wobble. If flying off a motorcycle at 65 mph wasnt enough to kill me the blood clots in the lungs that followed damm near did. Now all I have to do is recover the 225k that it has cost me to learn that bagger wobble is alive and well. I applaud most of you on this thread who have been informed and have spent the 300 or so to make your bike a safer machine. You are wise and smart people. I wish I could turn back the hands of time

This is what I had to do to get rid of the wobble My '07 FLHT developed after i had a Michelin Commander installed on the rear:

Bagger Brace (helped but did not get rid of it completely)

Sta-Bo II Bushings (Finally, it handles like it should have to begin with)

Both are still installed and I'll be replacing that Michelin with a Dunlop Elite 3 soon.

I am keeping my Bagger Brace, but I think the Sta-Bo II bushings are probably all you really need. ($102.00 + S/H)

Even Sta-Bo recommends not using both their product AND a stabilizer due to excessive vibration. Yesca, you don't have that problem?

None that I have noticed. But, I had just installed the FatCat about 2 weeks before the Sta-Bo II bushings and the exhaust system install removed a whole lot of my previous vibrations that were noticeable. I have the Blue Sta-Bo II bushings also, they are supposed to be less prone to causing vibration issues according to Kevin at Innovations (Sta-Bo developer/inventor).

So, reading through the lines it seems there are TWO kinds of wobble...

They type I'm used to (and I want to get rid of) from riding a BUNCH of rental Harleys (and my own) occurs when flying through turns and the suspension seems to rear-steer when reaching full compression. It gets kind of interesting at times when two-up, but now I know to expect it. It doesn't scare me, but annoys me. Definitely a flexy frame setup compared to the BMW's I've had. They seem carved out of a piece of billet aluminum.

The other wobble seems to be a tank-slapper. I've tried to get my RK to do it by hitting my handlebar at speed. It wobbles a little, but not like the typical tank-slapper I've seen and gotten close to on my dirt bikes at WOT.

Which type of wobble does the brace get rid of? One or both?

Rear steer, not wobble, is the most accurate term for what you want to get rid of. Any of the braces do the job. The other wobble has different causes.

I went with the Throttle Up Stabilizer, and I'm very pleased. I've heard excellent things about the Bagger Brace, and others.
