Agree. I've seen TONS of newer bikes with the stock pipes on. Perfectly fine the way it is, until you can or want to change it out PROPERLY. I'm sure some have drilled out the stock baffles, to each their own, but I would never do something half-assed like that on mine. If I couldn't afford it, then I'd just wait until the money is there. If anyone has a smart-*** remark about the stock pipes, then chalk them up to 1st Class Idiots and ignore.

I agree on waiting on the pipes. You're just going to need better speakers and/or an amplifier once you open up or replace the pipes if you use the stereo anyway...

Pretty good advice. I did all the mods to my old bike that a person could reasonably consider. When it was all finished, I had gone too far. I have an 09 SG and it is totally stock. I'm not saying I won't go the Fuel Moto way but, I'm enjoying just riding it for a while. Enjoy your bike the way it is. This 09 is the nicest vehicle I've ever owned. I mean better than any car, truck, jeep or whatever.

It is a fantastic piece of engineering just as it is.

Try these guys. They have really good prices (125 per pair). I was going to get a set but ended up with a used set of Vance & Hines ovals.

Edit: You beat me to it.

No pun intended, but there's a common thread here and for good reason. At the very least, you can tell you'd at least be respected more for staying stock until you can do it right. Respect the bike. Do like we're doing. Go out for breakfast more instead of dinner and throw that extra green towards your ride. If you do a Jackpot search here, you'll see a common thing, people are happy with them so you may wish to heed the advice of others here and consider them. FWIW, We're still running stock on ours until we can get what we want and I know we're not the only ones.

Patience grasshopper.
