I just bought a 2009 electra glide classic. I love the bike but I dont have the money to buy expensive slipons. Has anybody ever taken out the baffles in the stock exhaust and if so, how does it effect performance?
What is a matter driving it the way it is. If you don't have money to get what you want and half *** jury rig something, you could you could wind up costing yourself un-needed repairs.

If you're going to screw with the stock pipes, buy another set first. When you mess them up and the bike runs like crap, you can always put on the other set.
That being said, I would hold out till I could scrape up enough to get a set of slip-ons that I wanted because I don't believe you will be happy with the modified stock ones.
POOR? You have a 09 motorcycle thats not inexpensive. Some people dont have money for food and shelter and you say you are poor because you cant afford new exhaust? Bad way to start a thread IMO
A friend of mine just bought a new StreetGlide. He was always the guy with the loudest bike before. He got a $1000 gift card when he bought the bike. I expected the first thing he would have done was by new slip ons. He has spent all his money and has yet to change them out. I have ridden the bike and did not particularly like the sound when riding but I love the sound of his bike when he pulls away. That being said ask yourself what you are trying to accomplish by changing the mufflers. T.
