Default Cost for Dyno Tune

Anyone know the average price for a Dyno Tune with a PCIII on a 06 Ultra. I went to the Harley dealer. Cost was $420.00. They need the bike for 2 days. Anyone had experience with Dynojet tuning centers. Harley also want racing waivers signed and they tell you that you are no longer street legal.

Just had mine done Friday at an independent race shop for $200 & I bet $$$ this guy does better tuning than 90+% of the HD dealerships...

Schedule in advance & he's done in 1.5 ~ 2.5 hrs and explains how and why he does everything he's doing. Sorta like a little training class while he makes your scoot scream!

I paided $250 at a local metric shop, that is Dyno-Jet certified. Look into the metric shops, lot of them out there and lots of the metrics use the PC III.

Speed's Performance Plus is a Dynojet Performance Evaluation Program tuner. The only problem is that they're out of Watertown, S.D. and you have to catch them at one of the major rallies. They did my bike at Myrtle Beach spring rally last week and also in 2005. Cost of the dyno evaluation without any tuning (because the carbed '02 Fat Boy was running beautifully) was $89.00. Obviously any necessary tuning and parts are on top of that $89. They do outstanding work. Excellent tuners and can do just about anything necessary for H-D V Twins. Last year they installed a tuned Hooker 2 into 1, new intake and crank vents for me and did dyno runs before and after.

Our local Dynojet shop charged me $195.00. Took about 2+/- hours. Very pleased.

Thanks for the advise. Sounds like a Dynojet tuner or metric shop is the way to go.
