I am very cautious when riding with people I don't know. Different skill levels, experience, etc. You know what I mean. Same applies here.
If If did not know someone and they pulled in beside me after I was not at my bike, I don't think I would want them to. If space was definetly an issue, then understandable.
I know at bike gatherings you are always at risk, but as you all say, I think overall we all try to be careful and respect everyones space - even when it is only a foot or two.
Its cool just don't block me in or park so close that i can't get my big butt on my bike. So far i have had no problem with another rider parking with me.

Unless I know the person, I personally prefer not to share. Same holds true to me if I'm looking for a spot. You just never know how people are, whether they're considerate of your scoot or not. Depends on how they take care of theirs. Which begs the question, would you allow/want a non-Harley to park next to you?? GW's are too big, so they probably wouldn't anyway, but how about a Vulcan or something similar?
I don't care, sometimes I will park next to another bike, especially if it is crowded or I know them. I still am not great at lining up so I like to have my own space to.
