Default Sturgis

I am getting ready to head out to Sturgis for the first time in a couple weeks. For the first time and I was wondering how much cash to bring? I mean like can I expect to pay $5 a beer? Is there any price gouging going on on anything? thanks in advance for any info-Terry

I would take about 2000.00 much past that you have the credit cards.
You will find cool stuff for the bike might need alittle extra green.
When will you be there, Im planning to arrive on the 28th.
It would be cool to meet up for a beer some where.

EVERYTHING is expensive during bike week. You might find a deal on a t-shirt at the end of the week, that's about it.

Depends how much cash you want to carry. There are ATM's all over and most places take plastic. If you go to the HS for B'fast or some of the local Vol. Fire Dept. for food you'll need cash. I started out with $200 and hit ATM's as needed.

I was thinking about 2000, not counting gas, and camp ground (buffalo chip). I am trying to be there on the evening of the 1st, but I can't leave very as early as I would like on the 30th from home, it's about 1600 miles from where I live. I was planning to stay until Sat or so. Pm me when it gets closer and we can figure out how to meet up-Terry

Went last year and used a credit card for most everything except beer stops.
The vendors take credit cards.
Some places are ripoffs but all in all it wasn't that bad. Even t shirt prices.
Hotel prices are awful tho.

Everything is overpriced during bike week. I'm bringing $1000 in cash, but then again I'm leaving this Friday from RI and plan on being in Custer, SD on Monday. Too many people, too many over priced hotels & venders during the rally.

The week before Bike Week is becoming more and more popular.
Still allot of bikes, just the vendors aren't setup.
Cheap rooms, drinks and food. Riding through Custer State Park, without a line of bikes in front of you is a joy.
We leave Saturday, when it just starting to get buzzy.
This is our 7th year riding out.

Get last year's rally t-shirt at Hill City HD. They look the same as this year's (pick any year) and they're a whole lot cheaper.
