Read this the other day. I lost a cousin in nam in 66. He was the one who taught me to drive when he came home on leave in summer of 1966. I was 11 years old and he took the time to let me drive his new mustang around country raods in groesbeck tx. We picked him up at the dallas airport and took him straight to the dealer in groesbeck where he bought a new yellow 66 'stang with a 289. It was great. He left 30 days later and was killed about a month later. Hard to imagine that was 43 years ago (i'm almost 54 now). Rip mr. Ed freeman. God bless you and all the others past and present.

he was "Too Tall" Freeman and his boss flew the other aircraft, in real life and he and his boss's actions are depicted in the movie.
