Question NEW Corbin Question

For those of you that swear by these seats, how big are you? I wondering if its the heavier guys who like em' or the lighter ones. BTW - I go about 3 bills.

I was about 190 when I had mine. Loved it , rode 1000 miles only stopping for gas. But wrecked the bike it was on.

I have the Classic Solo and wiegh in at about 215, no problem except I'm a no-***-at-all kinda guy and my tailbone hurts on all day rides sometimes. I just ordered a sheepskin pad to see if that might help the ol' tailbone. The Corbin seats are great.

Thanks for the input. I know its a strange question but I'm trying to keep from throwing away any more money.

I know tall/short/thin/heavy riders who love Corbin, and the same who HATE Corbin.... it's not so much the seat (or ANY seat) it just depends on what each rider needs to be comfortable.

I loved my Corbin gunfighter on the previous bike for about 85k.... but on this '05 RG... the same seat moved me too far back for me to be comfortable

You might try a Mustang Ultra Touring.

I've got a mustang vintage solo and my a$$ gets numb after about 50 miles, I think itss too soft and I'm riding on the pan. It also pushes me further forward than I like. I'm really debating between Corbin and C&C but wanted to get some more feedback on Corbin.

Corbin is a "Love it or Hate it" seat. I'm 225 and I didn't like the one I had on my '07 Softail, it never did soften up even after 4,000 miles.

I've had two different Mustang seats and they would hurt my sciatica nerve after a while riding.....and I've heard this from other riders (including my brother-in-law).

If I buy another after market seat I will look long and hard at C&C seats. I've never heard any complaints about them. http://www.ccseats.com/

I would recommend mean City Cycles though. They made my stock Street Glide seat all day long ride able.

I've had a bunch of seats on a butt load of bikes...I know that I prefer a firmer seat on with firm padding that you don't sink into...being a heavy dude myself I found that a soft seat causes me to have hot spots at the top of my thighs just below my butt..So i like Corbins and I lovemy Danny Gray Buttcrack Solo that I'm currently runnin' that being said my wife runs a mustang on her bike and thinks I ride on a covered seatpan...I hate to say this because it's not an answer but you need to figure out what type of seat you like and go from there...It's the Ford Chevy thing all over again...everyone is going to swear by what they like, and that won't do you any good...best bet is shop e-bay buy cheap and re-sell as needed...find what you like and keep it forever

I'm about 185 and my Corbin solo suits me fine. I have a Mustang dual seat but it's not as comfortable for the longer trips.
