Yes, as noted by a few others here, some grease is designed for high temps and will not breakdown and melt away.

Grease fitting on my '09 SG is easily accesible. I have just used the grease I lube my pickups front end with. It is what I had in my grease gun.

Changed mine out to a 45 on my 2008 - took a ton of grease for the 10k service.

you can't repeat can't overlube a slow turning bearing. I can't imagine how once it is full of grease that it would ever need it again, but why not?

Are the bearings even open race to begin with? If they're sealed, grease is pointless. Will just ooze out and make a mess wherever it can find a way out.

It took me a while to figure out where my oil leak was coming from, and after a few trips to the dealer, WE figured it out, the lower tripple tree!!
