I received the Arc audio package tonight and started reading the directions.....which are almost non-existent. I am a borderline retard so a few questions.
The speaker installs look easy enough, mounting and wiring the amp seems easy enough with running the main harness back to the battery. I have a couple of questions centered around posts referring to switched power and the connection from the HD stereo to the amp.
I was expecting some kind of RCA cable connection but the harness doesn't come with one and it isn't clear in the amp instructions what connects the stereo to the amp? Does anyone have any pictures of this connection or provide any detail? The amp has a vertical plug with some wires coming out of it that plugs into one end (opposite the speaker connection) that I assume must be what connects to the stereo??
Any help you can give would be appreciated, I am going to tackle it tomorrow so maybe it will make more sense once I have the fairing off and can see everything.
switched power... i did the cig lighter power.. you could use the headlamp..
you run the stock speaker wires to the amp and new speaker wires from the amp to the speakers
the vertical plug is you high level input... which you run your stock speaker wire to from the radio...
dont forget to push the rca button in(non rca connection cause your usen the high level input) with the stock radio... unless you had the stock radio modified with RCA outputs..
not a pic of the high level input but..
Here found the high level plug pic:

Brad...I don't have mine installed yet...I am doing it in the morning but after having that one question answered, It looks like it will be very simple but not it isn't plug and play in that you are going to have to splice into existing wiring a little bit.
It does look simple though...once I got a good set of directions. I am betting an hour or two at most due to the PITA of running the main power harness under the tank.
You have to splice the speaker output wires from the stock head unit into the speaker input wires to the amp. You also need to splice the remote on wire to the cigarette lighter power wire or to headlamp power wire.
Uh, you have an 09... Hammer107, the gas tank is super easy(no crossover to deal with) if you don't have much fuel in it other wise it's a bit heavy.
You don't have to run them under the tank.. you can use the console...but I'd do it under the tank like I did.
Only ran the power to the battery, the ground I hooked up to the bolt on the steering neck on the right side. You can do it either way, up to you. I doubt there is any real benefit to either since the bikes battery isn't to far.
Yeah, Firecap501 supplies all the wire you need and the fuse holder for the 30amp fuse(power). You could fuse the ground?!? but I didn't. Yeah, it's not exactly plug in play but it's easy enough. Solder and shrink wrap.. what 2 speaker wires and the turn on wire. A few zip ties.. and your pretty much good to go.

Cool...well no crossover means piece of cake then. I took the fairing off tonight and it looks easy. I assumed they still had the annoying crossover so I was going to try to snake the cable up through without removing the tank.
