Default Tuning the Arc Audio Amp

Firecap forgot my directions when he shipped it so I am cobbling this together through the forum. Last night I read some instructions on tuning the amp and getting it to sound better than out of the box.

I cannot find those directions now....anyone know where they are or offer advice on setting this thing up?

TIA.

Tuning the Amplifier

Before powering on the system double check all connections making sure everything is connected and secured. Insert the spade fuses into the holder on the ground side first if installed, and do the same for the power side. Note a little spark is normal when installing the fuse.
Power up the system, and set your bass and treble on the head unit to 0. Set the filter switch to High pass, the bass boost at 0, and make sure the sensitivity for the L & R are at Min. Set the Crossover in between 55-110. Increase the volume on the head unit until you start to hear some distortion then turn down till gone. Adjust the L & R sensitivity on the amplifier in the same way.
Note: The amplifier with a 4 ohm load is producing 70 watts continuous power to your speakers, turning up the sensitivity dose make more power, it sets the sensitivity of the amplifier to the radio.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to call me 405-206-0831. It has been my pleasure to do business with you.

Ok I am good to here.

Does this mean turn down what...the volume or the Crossover?

Then we should adjust each speaker individually with the L&R sensitivity (gain?) in the same manner? Does the head unit even have a balance function? I've never tried it, I can.

Your amp has 2 gains... left and right. Your amp also has the crossover.
Set your bass and treble down to zero on the head unit. You are going to set the crossover on the amp to something between the 55-110. i think mine is around 75ish..who knows. Then you are going to turn the volume up to about 70% of the total volume on the HK head unit. Then adjust each gain (left and right) up till you hear a bit of distortion.. then back em off a bit..till no distortion.

You can bump up the bass and treble now that you are done.. and make any more adjustments if needed.

I wish I could be better at telling you what to set the crossover at...if anyone knows...let us know too.
