Road King easy to make it what ever you want just for the day and then tomorrow it can be something totally different.

I own a RKC, but for the amount of daily miles you said you'd be putting on & % of the time you'll be riding 2-up I'd go go with the Ultra.

I love my Roadking, but if I rode 2 up 70% of the time I would get the Ultra.Your passenger will thank you.

Now I'm a RK guy myself but from what little you describe (70% two-up riding) I think the EGC would be more to your liking. I've had an EGC before and it was a fantastic bike. I kept to stripped down and looking more like a Street Glide most of the time, but in just a minute or two I could have the tourpak and big puffy touring seat back on it and ride in comfort with Mama.

I voted for the EGC, but will supplement that with "dittos" to all above who suggested getting the Ultra. Take the plunge and go for it -- you won't be sorry. The riding style you described is best enjoyed on the back of an Ultra... I know, I did the same thing 4 years ago and never looked back.

be patient if you can stand it. with as many 09's still on the dealers showroom floor, they're going to be getting even more creative with their selling them off to make room for the new 10's. my vote would be roadglide. i have an 08 streetglide, and i love it. it's paid for, it does its intended job, and it doesn't **** me off. on the other hand, to do it again it'd be a roadglide, cause at 6'4" tall it's sorta cramped on the streetglide.
