I pick up my 2009 Blk Pearl Ultra tomorrow. I was wondering if the wiring illustration in this link https://www.hdforums.com/forum/touri...ts-are-on.html is the same for 2009 models? I wired my 06EGC so that the spots would stay on while I was running my highbeams and would like to do this with the 2009 UC. Thanks! Mav

I've found myself wondering just why they go out when you do the bright. I'd much rather they stay on as well.
Usually due to a State or Provincial law that allows for only so many lights to be illuminated on the front of a vehicle. My GMC Sierra does the same thing with the fog lights when I go to high beams.

In some states it is unlawful to have both the passing lights on while your high beam light is on, which is why they are wired like that. Don't ask me how I know....
Illegal or not, I want do this mod. I really liked it on the 06EGC. I'm just not sure if the wiring is the same. Plan on installing Silverstar bulbs too! Those lights work well. They are a huge improvement over stock. I was often told how bright my lights were on my 06and how well others could see me coming...
I also kept my tail light module off the 06, the one that changes out the yellow lenses for red lenses and make the turn signals become brake lights/turn signals. I also enjoyed having this on my bike. You can never have enough lights, front or rear! I think the 06 module will work on the 09. I'm not 100% sure yet...
