Default Riding in the Rain

Seriously who can do this? I can't see crap in the rain. Everything fogs up, goggles covered in water. I've even tried my full face helmet, ducking behind the windshield etc and still can't see. Just saw a guy soaked on a Goldwing and made me think of this.

Default Yep..a couple times a week

Seems to rain in Southern PA on my way home from work 44 miles.

3/4 helmet shield down
plexus on windshield
Nelson Rigg volante rain gear
Peak over windshield on my 09 Ultra
Slow down, make smooth lane changes, allow yourself room for defensive moves.

Enjoy the ride and the puzzled looks from other drivers.

no sun glasses- or tint-down glasses- try rainx on shield- peak over top of shield. if it is pouring down- pull off- if it is hailing pull under.

Last year I rode the "Lake Superior Circle Tour", and it rained the entire time -- 4 days straight. The thing I disliked the most, was the inconvenience of getting in and out of all the various rain gear, during rest stops or at restaurants and so on. Other than that, I kind of enjoy riding in the rain.

Just picked up a Scorpion EXO-100 1/2 helmet with a built in visor. Covers the top half of the face. Between that and a windshield most rain storms are easily handled. If it gets to be a real drencher I put on the neoprene scarf and I'm perfectly fine.

Also, Tourmaster waterproof riding gear is nice to have.

I had alot of trouble seeing well enough to ride in the rain when I was looking through my heritage windshield.

Now that I look over my SG windshield, riding in the rain is much easier.

DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT use Rain X on your plastic windshield! Rain X is made for galss not plastic. It will make your windshield haze over.

Isn’t that why we invented cars? I know, just sayin… it’s not the rain so much, it’s the slippery road, lost a lot of good underwear..
