Not usually but leaving a wk from today on a 1000 mile trip from Sturgis. Got a can of fix a flat and a tire plug kit just in case. Total of about 7 bux and hope to never need it!
I carry the one from our local farm store. It has some plugs, glue, insert too and a cleaning file. I also have the C02 inflater with several cartridges. Hope I never need 'em.
I do but I don't remember the name. They're soft rubber plugs that can be worked into a hole with the tools provided. I also carry a large CO2 cartridge that I found on eBay that will fill up a motorcycle tire. Most are small and won't fill much more than a bicycle. Take a look at most kits at the auto supply stores and pick the one you like best. Another trick that works sometimes is to screw a small sheet metal screw into the hole and squirt some fix-a-flat into the tire. I helped a guy do this once on a duc and it got him home.
Yep.. got a BMW brand one at the local BMW MC shop.... it has 3 or 4 CO2 cartridges to get some air back in the tire... hopefully enough to get to the next town...
