Yup, the 9's should be a steal. Why, just look at all the features on the brand new 2010's. Why, there's... new paint ...and, uh, single exhaust, and, well, uh, hum, what's the difference between the 09's?
The only ones I see with the single exhaust are the Street Glide and road Glide.
MSRP for a while on 10s. There is a lot of 09s left 1500 to 2000 off big V twins , 750 to 1000 off on the others . In NJ and PA
Way more than that off if you do some work. I bought my 09 SERG early this month for 25k. Buddy got SG with Cruise, and ABS for 18k with a 500 HD card and a 300 gas card too. Many deals out there on 09's. I did hear that is going to stop as production was much less with the 2010's. Dealers are claiming to stick to MSRP now, but we will see. Economy has not improved.
One of our dealers sold '09s at dealer cost on July 4th. It was a one day sale, but I don't think I've ever heard of them selling at cost. I guess they were trying to clear the '09s out real quick.
I'm surprised at some of the comments here and in the five other threads "introducing" the subject of 010 H-D bikes. What do you expect new? The freaking things were evolutionary in development a hell of a lot before VW began advertising it in the 1970s.
The 2009 changes were revolutionary and probably the last other than color changes and trim for another 5 or 6 years. Oh models? you mean a Sportster or an Electra Glide or a Super Glide which are 95 % of the line despite the 34 names. So 3 bikes or 34 names those are the choices I see.
If you live in a snow belt state, wait until next January and visit a few dealers. Be serious about buying, and ready to buy. That's what I did this year, and got thousands off the sticker of a brand new 2009. I suspect you'll be able to do the same with the 2010's.
