I went by to see Allen at MCC a couple of weeks ago while in that area and had him "fluff" my seat up. I felt I needed more support for my cheeks and spine and he was able to help me out by reshaping the rear "wall" of the seat with different and thicker padding. He said it might be 1000 miles before it would shape to fit me and it is feeling petty good.

I find the stock seat on my St.Glide fairly comfortable, going to send it to MeanCity this winter for some mods. did you even give your seat a chance to get broken in !

Not sure if your reply was to my post or not but since you mentioned MCC figured it might be to me.

At the time of the seat mod I was around 8500 miles so figured it was broke in. Allen said that the seat pan had been changed in 09 and advised me to get an 08 SG seat if I wanted to improve my ride but figured since I was at his shop to at least get him to try something. My butt is feeling pretty good about it but time will tell.

Yes I put 400 miles on it the day I got it back from getting the memory foam. Average weekend I run somewhere between 300-500 miles.Me and the wife get out about 9:00 AM and get back 7:00 8:00 PM. When we bought the bike I picked it up on Friday and brought it in on Wed. for the 1000 mile service.

My biggest issue has been I feel cramped and need to move back. The stock seat and all the one peice replacements that accept the Harley backrest have a box in them to go around the mounting hardwear. That hits my tailbone. The 2-peice mustang does not have the box so they can move you back on it.

if you're not short, please go to your nearest harley dealership and sit on a roadglide seat in the showroom. i replaced my sg seat with a sundowner seat, an expensive mistake, then found a roadglide seat, and it's got a much improved seating section and the passenger section is far better than the sloping backwards streetglide seat. lots of guys will say mustang or corbin. it's tuff to buy out of a catalog without actually sitting on the seat you're interested in. that's why i suggested the harley showroom.

I'm not a big fan of the seat either. Talked to Chuck at C&C seats, and he offered to let me demo their solo seat. Will be doing that on Saturday. I had a Corbin solo on my Dyna which I loved.

Rode the mustang seat about 500 miles this weekend and I think this one it the ticket! Now I need to get rid of the sundowner before the wife freaks!

Too bad they won't let us put a seat on our bike and go for a three hour test ride before we buy.

papifun, the sundowner i bought for my 08 sg really was terribly uncomfortable for me. i'm tall at 6'4", and it was worse for me than the stock sg seat. i was able to sell it and recover all but 50 bux or so. glad it's gone. the roadglide seat, if you're tall is the bomb. looks way too cool also, and isn't the nut crusher that the stock sg seat is.
