I have mine stuck to the inside of my saddlebag lid with double stick tape. Works so far.

Thumbs up

I never knew they would work through a leather bag or fiberglas saddlebag. Mine is on the windshield and I have forgotten to take it with me a couple times I don't use the windshield..

Thanks for the tip HD forum!

Full disclosure, I have not tried this yet (I still am using the windshield bag with the same mixed results), but I came across this some time ago, that might be a solution. And one of these days I will get annoyed enough by the mixed results to order one.

I use this mount; http://www.jjcyclepass.com/bike1.htm. It's fairly cheap and works well. I have mine mounted just forward of the left side handle bar controls.

I agree, my mirrors are mounted under my apes and really don't want to mount anything to the bars.

Went with the "ez"-clip, how could I not, the one with the suction cups off ebay for $4. Should do the trick.

Thanks carpenter115

I went to AAA and bought an underwater camera holder. I put it around my neck and as I pass the toll, I hold it overhead. It has been working fine for me and is very similar to the mesh holder mentioned above.

I have used this in Pa, NJ, and De without any problems.

I've always had good results with it stuck to the inside of one of the bag lids.

I have mine mounted on the lowest point on the left side my windshield that I could. I only use it when I ride into work so I put it in the saddlebag all other times. Is it ugly? Yes. Is that THAT noticible? No.

I don't have the guts to experiment trying to hide it places. You guys live on the edge.
