tour pack wrap around backrest
the rubber mounts that hold the wrap around backrest to the tour pak lid (on the left side) busted tonight on our ride...has anybody had this problem and what did you do?
it looks like the rubber mount is just super glued to a washer that is rivited to the tour pack...not proud of this american engineering...

I didn't know what year bike he had so I explained to him that TT407 states that mid year 2009 models had a material issue with rubber isolators on the passenger backrest mounts that were causing them to separate. 52192-86A is the pn# for the replacement isolators

All 3 rubber mounts separated from the discs on a trip recently on my 09 RG. Not having the time to get by the dealer, found an adhesive for the 2 outside mounts. Drilled a hole in the center rubber mount, added 2 washers, made it "pivot" to relieve the stress. So far, so good.
