While changing my intake over to a solid intake my tank was resting on a stool when the dog came through and the stool was knocked over and the tank rolled from the front and across the top and the paint chunked off both edges across the top and put some scratches in a few places. Well I stood there stunned and then a sick feeling came over me, this was before I went over and picked it up to inspect the damage, man what a bad feeling that came over me because the bike had been painted with ghost flames two years ago and I love the way it looks. I ended up taking the tank back to the painter to get repaired and will find out the damages by the end of next week. Now I'm thinking of replacing the Andrews carb with an S & S or a CV but I havent decided yet. Through the whole ordeal I figure that down the road this memory will be a hard learned experience that will be a faded memory but not forgotten.
I think our dogs know when we are doing thing and they want to be a part of it,
I have 2 boarder collies and they are always willing to play ball with anyone who comes by. I had a buddy stop by the other day and he was throwing the ball for them, I had just cleaned my bike and it was under the carport, He through the ball into the pond and guess where they decided to shake off, one on each side of my bike. Muddy water went everywhere, on the bike, my truck the side of our enclosed trailer..Now it stays under cover if I am not on it...
You gotta love them anyway....
