Your dealer is a dipsh!t. The reason is there are two part numbers. As mentioned P/N 68358-07A is for 06-09. P/N 67774-10 is for 2010s and newer. Page 651 of the 2012 P&A Catalog. I would find a dealer that has a clue....
I agree. I just had this part installed last week, along with a chrome inner primary cover...
These parts are ok but does anybody put out an LED tri-bar light upgrade? Kit for 06-09 is 100.00 and 10-up is 130.00 bucks(msrp). Why would anybody pay that and not at least get LED lights. That seems like a waste of money there.
09 and 10 are different part#s cause there is no center stop light on 10 and up streetglides.... custom dynamics was supposed to release a led one. the harley one is dim.
I just bought a 2012 FLHX and found out that my Tri-bar light does not light up at all.
My dealer informed me that Canadian 2012 models don't come with this option, and the only way to make it work is going with a local guy who opens up the currently installed unit to install LED strips @ $300.
Has anyone found a way to mount a previous year unit onto a 2012 fender? Or is there another way to go about it? Aftermarket maybe?
Red Line I to have the same issue, 2012 SG canadain version, the rumor is that the 06-09 HD tri -lite upgrade part # 68358-07a will fit and can be plugged into the tour pack light harness under the left side cover , has anyone tried this?
when i went with the tri bar upgrade on my 2010, i sold my stock unit to a fellow canadian. don't remember his name/handle though. he had to do some slight modification to get it to work, but it wasn't hard. i believe there was a thread on here somewhere about it.
