Poor mpg
We're kinda shooting in the dark here with no more info that you gave us. But, on my 05 did that, it was because the rings were shot at just 45,000 miles. Had the 98' big done and up went the milage again from 25 to as much as 45. Not saying that the problem, but a compression test is the first thing to check.

I'm curious about this as well.
On a 1500 mile trip I was suprised to see that I got as low as 32 MPG from a tank. I'm sure the following factors are in play, 75mph, loaded with luggage for 2, and the engine mods I have done. What really got me was the fact that if I keep my speeds to around 60 mph, I usually get around 43 mpg.
I'm thinking of calling Jamie @ Fuelmoto to see if he can make me a map with a bit leaner "sweet spot" at 3000-3200 rpm for touring, and use my current map for "normal" driving.

DaddyOMike,
What kind of tuning system are you using? You have an M&M FI bike. With the Big Bore kit you either need a download, or some kind of tuning system, Power commander, SERT, or the like.
James W,
I have found speed to be the BIG factor for mpgs for me. Cruising at 55-60 will give me good numbers but sustained speed at 75 will drop it drastically. I once ran from Montana to Wyoming over 100mph most of the way. I got 26mpgs. But crusing 35mph at elevation in a National Park will get me close or over 40mpgs.
