I like that sound, Port Dawg. I'm now thinking of adding the slip-ons (either the SuperTrapp SE's or Jackpot's) and the XiED kit and keeping my stock air kit. It seems that there are folks who have done it, like it and have no lingering issues...

Great thread. Pipes are a hard decision to make. I am looking for 'slightly louder than stock' too. This gives me something to think about.

Wow brought back this thread. For what it's worth this is my third season with them-the sound a touch lower and louder. There is a little bluing at the front-heat shield is a bit too short. Otherwise couldn't be happier!

I received the TTS Master Tuner today...now just need to wait until Thursday to get the cables needed for the system...we will see how it sounds once I get the right map uploaded. Hopefully a deeper sound like everyone is saying

Might be a few extra days now...found out that vendor shipped the Fedex "Smart Post" and they are in Ohio now...was planning on a long ride this weekend up North and unless the PO magically speeds up it doesn't look like I will get the cables until after the holiday.....should have spent the 7 extra bucks on a different vendor and had it shipped out UPS as would have been here tomorrow Hmmmmmmm...

Port Dawg, I'm now liking the SuperTrapp SE's and the Khrome Werks HP-Plus Touring mufflers.

A forum member PM'ed me re: a set of used SuperTrapp SE's that he wants to sell. I'm waiting for him to return my email to get some specifics.

I listened to a YouTube demo of the Khrome Werks HP-Plus Touring mufflers and I like the sound. The guy who did the demo has since switched to Rush mufflers because he wanted something louder.

One of the comments on the YouTube demo noted that the Khrome Werks HP-Plus mufflers were slightly louder than the SuperTrapp SE's, but deeper. Sounds perfect to me!

Did you get your tuner?
