I ride by the dealer in Nacogdoches on my way to Longview quite a lot. I stop from time to time. A year ago there used to be quite a lot of people in and out of the store, You are right. It's quiet there now. The dealer in Longview is doing pretty good according to a couple of friends I have who work there, one in the service department, and his g/f up front.

Longview is our "Mother Store". They own ours (in Nac) but the owner only comes down once a week on a Thursday.

I think they would like to dump our Hog Chapter, if they could. None of the employees will have anything to do with our Hog Chapter, except for the Motorclothes Manager, which part of her job title is also "Events Coordinator" too.

That I don’t understand, alienating 160 members/clients/customers. Maybe I’m the only one who notices they aren’t ever around.

I hope they don’t close our store down, I go in just to razz these guys a couple times a week. Then where would I go to be a smart ****????

Okay to summarize what people are saying, the only area of the country that is doing well in the Kansas City/St. Joseph/Topeka area, some place in Pennsylvania and some place in the middle of Illinois.

But really the main thing seems to be: The dealerships that treat people right and have great service, are still doing well. You can only screw people over or treat them like crap for so long and then you will loose your clientele forever. To quote Arnold Schwarzenegger: Hasta La Vista baby. It ain't 2001 anymore and some dealerships just can't realize that.

We've been REALLY slow for weeks now. Sold 3 bikes yesterday, but other than that, slow as a herd of turtles.

I see a real downturn on the horizon. When the South slows even with year round riding, the rest of the country is headed for shambles. Buckle up, it's going to be a bumpy ride. IMO.

We need a "Cash for Jap Crap" program!!! LOL!!!

Just watch their stock...DOWN over 35%. HD is closing a plant, laying of workers and staff, no dividends, poor customer service and still trying to sell for suggested retail.

I had to buy my Ultra out of state...taking away money from Texas due to poor marketing strategies locally.

I was in my dealer Saturday and there was a lot of people checking the 2010's but I only saw one bike go out. A month ago I was in the store for 4 hours getting some work done and I saw at least 6 bikes go out during that time.

They still have a lot of 09's but they always have at least 100 bike's in stock.

Myers Duren in Tulsa sems pretty busy to me. The shop is booked up about 3 weeks before you can get in. Texas Fat Boy, if you remember Im the guy who couldnt get the pics of the 2010's posted. If you recall, in the pics the bikes werent even unwrapped yet. Well, when I was taking those pics there were quite a few regulars hanging around when a saleswoman walked out and started saying she already had the Ultra Limited sold and she already had the SESG sold to a guy in Dallas and blah blah blah. IDK if she was just trying to get someone to buy it before someone else supposedly came from Dallas to get it or what, but when I was back in the dealership again the other day, both bikes she said she had sold were still there. It looked like they had gotten rid of about 20 09's in 10 days time though.

They seem busy in CA, despite the state's financial situation.

Our's is usually pretty busy but its mostly people hanging out in the lounge. Guess it's so hot they would rather sit on the couch than ride in the heat..............
