My H-D factory drivers helmet intercom/radio system has a lot of static. I have switched cords, helmets, with no improvment and when I plugged my helmet into the rear plug all is quiet. So, I know the problem is with the plug on the gas tank and related to that plug somehow. I had it to the dealer and they checked some ground wires. Told me the static was improved but I would probally need to make another appointment to bring it back and leave it for a few days so they could pull the fairing and check around, but didn't have any idea what may be wrong. This static is so bad I can't even use the helmet system.

Anyone have similar problems and ideas??
